What is occupational hygiene?

Occupational Hygiene is the science behind workplace health and safety. Occupational hygienists are able to:

  • Anticipate and recognise how a workplace hazard may affect or impact on the body
  • Evaluate the workplace hazard through measurement
  • Recommend controls based on the hazard and thus provide solutions for protection

What experience do you have?

Our employees have been working within the industrial environments collectively for more than 40 years.  Types of industries include processing, metalliferous mining, power station, underground mining, coal mining, quarries, refineries, manufacturing plants as well as private consulting.  We are experienced with providing guidance to leadership teams, operators and maintenance groups.

What equipment do you use to evaluate the environment?

All equipment used by us is serviced and calibrated in accordance to NATA or the applicable standard.  For example, noise meters or sample pumps are NATA calibrated and serviced on an annual basis.

Are you locally based?

Occupational Hygiene Consulting is based in the heart of the Hunter helping many clients within the Hunter Valley predominately inland from Singleton. Particular locations include Singleton, Muswellbrook, Merriwa, Denman, Mudgee, Parkes and all areas surrounding.

Will you help us, as we are not in a large city?

Of course! We have helped many clients and as we tailor our services to your needs we are only too happy to travel. Some areas we have assisted clients include Merriwa, Denman, Mudgee, Parkes, Port Macquarie, Forster, Taralgan, Adelaide, North West Queensland and Victoria. Our field is special hence our experience is sought after even in remote locations.
